Perfectionism isn't fun, but we live in a society where it's seen as lazy and inattentive when mistakes are made. This conversation, like so many, was eye-opening as to how many people constantly worry about this matter. How this affects our daily mental health.Read More
The question that I probably get asked the most is: How do I help someone going through a panic attack? It's usually followed by someone inevitably asking: what does a panic attack actually feel like? Fear not, answers are finally here!Read More
We discussed the difference between being a bit anxious and a full-blown Generalized Anxiety Disorder. We touched upon what a panic attack is and how to handle it as well. As always sass and flub-ups were included free of charge.Read More
Insomnia is a tricky thing. And it was about time we talked about it. When I can't sleep, it starts to feel like
As part of the process of working to feel better, I created a positive routine to replace the copy of a copy sleeplessness cycle I had fallen into. I outlined that routine in this post: Mxiety.com along with some research to explain why it seems to work so well.
Also in this episode, I got to answer lot's of audience questions this time around too, including:
- What's the best temperature to fall asleep in?
- Does depression cause insomnia or does insomnia cause depression?
- What to do if you lose a night of sleep?
As I mentioned, I am not perfect and can't always follow this exactly as I outlined. Sometimes, I break my own rules, while at other times, I am too stressed or depressed and nothing seems to work. All in all, I hope you find this helps. If not, let me know in the comments below about what seems to help you more!
Maybe, next episode I can answer yours! Send me questions and suggestions here.
Another piece of news, I am now on Patreon. So if you are not very into Twitch but wanted to offer some support, head on over there to do so and get some sweet rewards, like being part of movie night and podcast only versions of these episodes.

PTSD is something I have wanted to talk about for a while, but couldn't do so without ensuring that it was the best, most productive conversation and well thought out conversation, first. That meant that I had to discuss Military PTSD as much as Civilian PTSD. The two have had some issues being represented properly. People with non-combat PTSD get dismissed as not having a problem serious enough, while those with combat PTSD often stay quiet because of stigma and fear of losing opportunities in service.Read More
