I get asked about the therapy methods I have tried, and I have come to realize I never knew the full answer. For this episode, not only did I learn about different types of therapy, I have found that in my treatment, I have encountered combinations of a few, with each one being helpful in a different stage of my treatment.
Since I am not a doctor, I would never tell you which type will work best for you, but I have put together a list you can reference to learn more about the more popular ones. I also mention which methods I have used and what I thought about them.
Talk therapy can be great, and actually, this list isn't even comprehensive. We are all so different, which is why there are so many methods to help sort ourselves out. I hope you remain patient with yourself through the process of finding what works best for you.
I held this discussion in a 2 part twitch stream, but what you see below is a 15 min video for you to reference and think through. I know finding a therapist or any other method of treatment that works is not easy. But, as someone said during the stream, most good things in life are worth the trouble. Please don't give up until you are living life to its fullest.
Oh yes, and don't forget to #bethelight.
